Christmas Portraits , Dicky Family

I had an enjoyable time with this family. Spent about two hours , got alot of good shots.

had a big window with a southern exposure, used one light for fill. Did not use any flash.

OLD BUILDINGS IN ARGYLE FLORIDA

The small building was the US Post Office, years ago when the train delivered the mail. The lady who ran the post office was Betsy Henderson.

The bigger building was Mehlhorn;s Grocery. Mr. Mehlhorn had a meat market , dry goods and sold feed. He also had a route he ran in an old chevy truck/van that he delivered food and stuff to folks that couldn't get to town very often.

I really like it when I can take my time to stop

as they say" Smell The Roses". In my case stop and take photos of things that interest me, like the railroad bridge at the Choctawhatchee River at Carryville , Florida .

People put bird houses in unusual places. I wonder if they have indoor lighting?

You can find unique things close to home to photograph. The local book store has a rack of books on the outside of the store. The cover may or may not help with the weather?

Elevated Photo Platform

We have a old fire tower that has been acquired from the Florida Div of Forestry. I hope to be able to get some sun rise and sunset photos from it soon?

This tower was in the Jackson Still area of Walton Co. before the Div of Forestry discontinued thier use.
